Niklas Babendererde joined the Pattern Recognition group at CAIDAS as a Postdoctoral Researcher under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Katharina Breininger in April 2026. During his PhD at TU Darmstadt, Niklas conducted research on spatio-temporal domain shifts in the context of Whole Slide Imaging (WSI). He addressed the associated methodological, regulatory, and translational challenges. In his new role as a postdoctoral researcher, Niklas will work on machine learning-based approaches for studying in situ tissue schematics as part of the GB.com project. Welcome to the team, Niklas!
