Ahmed Aboelela joined the Pattern Recognition group at CAIDAS as a PhD Student under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Katharina Breininger in December 2025. He holds a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg. His background lies in Computer Vision, with a research focus on 3D reconstruction using Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) and the application of generative models, particularly Stable Diffusion. His PhD project focuses on identifying tumor boundaries intraoperatively using Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy (CLE). This research will be carried out in cooperation with Universitätsklinikum Würzburg (UKW). Welcome to the team, Ahmed!
