PR@CAIDAS/ AIMI-lab @ Bavarian Conference on AI in Medicine
From October 27–28, the PR- and AIMI-lab took part in the Bavarian Conference on AI in Medicine, held at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Munich. The event brought together researchers from across Bavaria to discuss the latest developments at the intersection of artificial intelligence and medical research. Our group leader Prof. Katharina Breininger co-organized the conference, which featured keynotes by Eric Topol, Fabian Theis, Mihaela van der Schaar, and Islem Rekik.
Four PhD researchers from our team also contributed actively: Jonas, Maja, and Anne presented their projects during the poster sessions, while Jingna delivered a talk titled “Effortless VLM Specialization in Histopathology without Annotation”. The conference offered an excellent opportunity to connect with familiar faces and exchange ideas within the Bavarian AI-med community.
