Welcome, Xingjian!

Xingjian Kang joined the Pattern Recognition group at CAIDAS as a PhD Student under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Katharina Breininger in October 2025. He holds a Master’s degree in Medical Engineering from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, where his thesis focused on LLM-Agent-based CT Scan Protocol Management. For his PhD research, he will contribute to the EndoKI project, focusing on Multimodal Machine Learning for Endometriosis. His work aims to integrate and analyze diverse multimodal data sources using both supervised and unsupervised learning approaches to gain a deeper understanding of the complex nature of endometriosis and support earlier diagnosis.
